A Little About Me
I study writing at the Scarsdale Writers Center and The Writing Institute of Sarah Lawrence College. As a retired teacher with a B.S. and M.Ed in Reading & Language from Boston University, I write across genre from women's fiction and romance to narrative nonfiction picture book biographies and fiction picture books, middle grade novels, essays, and memoire. I enjoy researching topics that surprise me. As for hobbies, I love to hear seniors tell their immigration stories, swim, bake, and garden. Fascinated with chick and duck hatchings, I enjoy taking photographs of birds with their broods, and my garden. I live in Westchester, NY with my family. My written pieces have appeared online, in blogs, magazines, and in print. THE PEDDLER'S DAUGHTER TouchPoint Press (2023) is my debut adult novel. My narrative nonfiction picture book GERTRUDE REHER'S FAMILY BAKERY TouchPoint Press is my debut children's book.
